The SOUNDSATION PCM8000 MATCH is a matched pair of small-diaphragm condenser microphones designed for stereo recording of acoustic instruments, drum overheads, choirs and live performances. The microphones are matched within 1 dB, ensuring a balanced and consistent stereo image.
The 16 mm gold-sputtered capsule features a cardioid polar pattern and delivers a frequency response from 30 Hz to 20 kHz. The integrated JFET preamplifier contributes to low self-noise, while the -10 dB attenuation selector and 100 Hz low-cut filter allow the microphones to be adapted to different sound sources.
The durable metal body combines lightweight construction with strength. The microphones require +48V phantom power and are well suited to recording cymbals, percussion, piano and other acoustic instruments, as well as stereo overhead applications.
