The Universal Audio Volt 2 Max is a USB audio interface designed for musicians, producers and content creators who want quality recording combined with intuitive control and built-in audio processing. It features two Tone Shaping preamps, Max dynamics processing, a color Smart Display and an integrated talkback microphone.
The two Tone Shaping preamps offer three tonal characters — Warmth, Focus and Shine — providing different options for recording. Max processing adds built-in real-time compression, with six presets for vocals, guitars and bass. Auto-Gain with Clip Protection helps set input levels, while the color Smart Display provides visual feedback, including gain-reduction metering.
The 32-bit / 192 kHz converters support high-resolution recording, while independent +48V phantom power on each channel allows condenser microphones to be connected. The integrated talkback microphone facilitates communication during recording sessions, and Loopback supports streaming and podcasting workflows.
The Volt 2 Max is USB bus-powered and compatible with Mac, Windows, iPad and iPhone. It includes the LUNA Digital Audio Workstation, UAD plug-ins, virtual instruments and selected third-party software, providing a comprehensive package for music production and content creation.
