The Universal Audio Volt 4 Max is a 12-in / 6-out desktop USB audio interface designed for professional-quality recording and music production at 32-bit / 192 kHz. It combines two Tone Shaping Preamps, onboard Max Processing, a full-color Smart Display and essential studio monitoring controls in one compact interface.
The two Tone Shaping Preamps offer three tonal characters - Warmth, Focus and Shine - inspired by classic analog circuits. Max Processing adds six real-time compression presets for vocals, guitars and bass, based on classic compressors such as the LA-2A and 1176.
The Volt 4 Max features speaker switching between two pairs of studio monitors, a built-in talkback microphone and two headphone outputs. Its ADAT or S/PDIF optical input enables digital expansion, while MIDI connectivity and the integrated USB hub make it easy to connect additional equipment.
Auto-Gain helps set recording levels, while Clip Protection helps prevent unwanted distortion caused by sudden signal peaks. The full-color Smart Display provides clear visual feedback, including gain-reduction metering.
The Volt 4 Max supports USB bus power and includes the LUNA DAW, UAD plug-ins and additional music production software, providing a versatile setup for recording and music creation.
