The Universal Audio Volt 4P Max is an advanced desktop USB audio interface designed for musicians, bands, drummers and producers who need professional sound quality and flexible connectivity in a compact setup. Featuring four microphone preamps with Tone Shaping, onboard Max Processing and 32-bit / 192 kHz audio conversion, it provides the tools to capture multiple sources with impressive clarity and character.
Choose between three preamp tones — Warmth, Focus and Shine — to shape each input according to the source and your desired sound. Max Processing adds six real-time compression presets inspired by classic studio compressors such as the LA-2A and 1176. Auto-Gain and Clip Protection also help you set recording levels and protect against unexpected peaks.
The full-color Smart Display provides clear visual feedback, including gain-reduction metering. Speaker switching between two monitor pairs, two headphone outputs, a built-in talkback microphone and loopback functionality make the Volt 4P Max equally useful for music production, podcasting and streaming.
With ADAT or S/PDIF optical input, MIDI In/Out and an integrated USB hub, the Volt 4P Max can serve as the centre of a flexible home or project studio. It also includes the UAD Volt Studio Bundle, the LUNA digital audio workstation and additional production tools from third-party developers.
